Hi everyone! I know it's been a couple of weeks since the year started but I do have to admit that I started the year being super lazy, and so I decided to write this after a few days.
Last year one of my reading challenges was to read 50 books –well, it was, in fact, the Goodreads challenge,– and this year I plan on doing the same thing. But this time I'm going to really try and reduce the number of books I buy, hopefully, I will succeed, a bit. Because let's be real, my TBR pile has over 50 books and maybe I'll reduce it by half of what it is now (?), we can always dream.
I also plan on finishing some series/ trilogies that I am currently reading and that it's taking ages to finish.
But my priority is to restrain myself from buying tons of book, maybe one or two every month... but I do have to save some money and the amount of books I want doesn't help, at all. And the fact that new amazing books are coming out means I need them... and my will power is weak when it comes to my favourite authors.,, and the fact that new books with amazing plots are being released doesn't help my economy, so... yeah. And I'm going back to what I wanted to do last year and read more on my kindle, mostly books that aren't in my comfort zone and I'm not really sure I'll enjoy it.
One skill that I would really like to learn is wrapping gifts! I've been watching some videos and there are so many different ways of using wrapping paper. And also making nice bows and other things. Besides that, I'll try not to buy things that I don't actually need since I'm going to be on a tight budget –not because of anything but because I need to cut so many expenses.
Ohhh! And one thing that I didn't mention... well it's not actually considered a resolution but this year I'm finally going to go back to horse riding. I've been riding horses since I was four and stoped at 16. So I'm very excited to finally go back!
And of course, I need to focus more on my studies so that's going to be my top priority, hopefully.
What are your new year resolutions? What plans do you have for this 2021?
