Destino is the first book of a trilogy by Maria Martinez that's being reprinted and reedit. The second and third part are going to be released this year, I think. It's the first time I read a book about the paranormal written by Maria Martinez, mostly since everything I've read from her is Contemporary Romance. 

I’ve been wanting to read this book since the author announced that it was going to be published by @titania.ed and I was so lucky to get it at the bookstore when I went... but I’m going to be totally honest with you and tell you that the romance in this book was what I least enjoyed of the book... mostly since all I could think about was the actual plot and the secrets that lie within Williams transformation.

Maybe it’s because this book, even though I did enjoy it, didn’t make me love it. The plot was amazing, but there were some things that didn’t feel right... maybe it’s because I recently finished an amazing book and all I can do is compare them to each other, but even though I do love this author and her romance stories, this one, in particular, didn’t hook me like the others.

The way the system of hierarchy in the Vampire world is built is quite interesting, and the fact that there is a faction that takes care of those who go, rogue, is quite fascinating.

At some point, both; William and Kate reminded me of Edward Cullen and away better Bella Swan —I’m not saying I didn’t enjoy them, but they aren’t the reason why I wanted to continue reading the story. I’m definitely not saying I won’t continue reading these book, because I definitely will, but I kinda had really high expectations and it didn't meet them.
