book review | The dutchess deal, by Tessa Dare

Historical romance has been one of my favourite genres since I started reading Sarah McLean, and it's been a while since I read any. So when I saw this author being featured so many times I thought I should give her a go.

This story just made my day better, the fact that I read it during my birthday was something that distracted me a lot. And I enjoyed it. I enjoyed every page of this book.
I am a really big sucker for romance and this delivered everything I needed and more. One thing that I love about historical romance books is that you can read them in one sitting.

Learning about Emma and Ash' story was something that I loved, the way everything was described made it even better. I love how both complement each other with their different personalities and the fact that both like to tease each other. Their bickering was just hilarious, mostly since Emma liked to defiance Ash so much. And that was surprising for him since he wasn't used to it.

Oh, and the staff of the house, amazing. The fact that they didn't care much about being punished by their employer and wanted both, Emma and Ash, to fall in love with each other was just something that made me laugh. They didn't care about the consequences or didn't think about them, but they wanted their plan to succeed.

I loved Emma's friends, they were a unique group of ladies and I know they're featured in the other books so I can't wait to read their stories.

Can we talk about how hot did Ash look? Like I mean, forget about his scars, he was just yummy and dreamy.

Setting that aside, I'm definitely adding this author to my TBR, because I want to enjoy more of her stories.
I had to give it 5 stars out of 5 stars!
