This year, I set a couple of resolutions that I wanted to accomplish. One of them, and the "most" important one –for me– was to read more books on my kindle. And stop spending so much money on books. I kinda thought that I was going to be able to accomplish it, but I was soooo wrong.
At the start of the year I have to admit that I was doing quite well, I read a couple of books on my kindle app and started searching books on kindle. And suddenly, when I was looking at some of the books that I was super interested in, I realized that they were nearly as expensive as the paperback books. That doesn't excuse me buying hardcover books, though... but I wasn't strong enough, I'll admit that.
One of the reasons I wanted to accomplish this new year's resolution was because I have no space on my bookshelf, and I even got rid of one of them. I plan on giving lots of books to my local library and just keep the ones that I've loved. But nothing beats up having the actual physical book. Because let's be real, they are gorgeous and the covers are lovely.
Having the actual book in your hands and being able to flip through the pages is amazing. The sensations are incomparable. And to have the book on your bookshelf is just so aesthetic...
That's no excuse, I know. Well, after rumbling all about me failing one of my 2020 resolutions I just want to think that I'll have more restrain in the future. There's plenty of time till the year ends and hopefully, I'll be able to not buy as many books. Kinda.
What do you prefer? eBooks or physical copies? And why?
